Heads up! We are truly excited to announce that our CEO and Founder Kimberley Bueno-Schonig is taking part in another workshop as a virtual panel for the Hip Hop Hackathon “How to get a job and grow a business in tech”, this May 13 at 3:30 PM (Pacific Time).
It is a day conducted in honor of Celebrating Latinos in STEM, and this is a great opportunity to know more about career opportunities and professional growth that participants can do. Landing a job or even starting your own business from scratch in the tech industry is certainly not easy. It is tough, but with the right guidance from experts, strategies, and game plan, you will be able to navigate your way through tech.
This event will also feature the profiles of various Latinos in STEM which is a part of the library of content that will be showcased to the participants and competitors in the upcoming Hip Hop Hackathon in the next few weeks.
Minorities in STEM
Did you know?
African Americans, Native Americans, and Latinos aged between 18 to 24 account for approximately 24% of the population but earn only 12% of the undergraduate degrees in engineering. They also represent less than 5% among all scientists and engineers in the workforce.
Last month, they featured outstanding African American scientists, investors, and engineers. This time, Latinx scientists, investors, and engineers will take the spotlight for their achievements. This is with the aim to encourage Latino participants of the Hip Hop Hackathon to know more about the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics field and lessen the gap of pursuing careers in this industry.

Be Part of Their Growth
Due to the lack of funding for Black and Brown to acquire tech jobs, build their business or obtain wealth, it would be great help if you are able to contribute an amount to the Hip Hop Hackathon crowdfunding campaign on IFundWomen.
